Adria Solutions in Manchester is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer responsible for escalating and resolving complex issues across networking, infrastructure and Microsoft cloud services.

You will own escalated tickets from start to finish, troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and switching, and provide guidance to 1st line staff while maintaining clear documentation. This hands-on role requires strong communication and a methodical approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Senior IT support / infrastructure experience in 2nd/3rd line engineering.
• Strong networking fundamentals with DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Hands-on with Juniper devices and Palo Alto firewalls; administration of AD, Entra ID, M365 and Intune.
• Clear communication and ability to guide 1st line colleagues, documenting investigations.

IT Support Engineer - Manchester

Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong networking skills and the confidence to take ownership of complex technical issues?

We’re looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to become the most senior engineer within an IT support team. You’ll act as the technical escalation point, support 1st line colleagues and resolve issues across networking, infrastructure and Microsoft cloud services.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines sound technical knowledge with a structured approach to troubleshooting and sees problems through to resolution.

The role

• Own escalated technical issues, from initial investigation through to resolution.
• Troubleshoot networking problems across DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and switching.
• Administer and support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune.
• Support switching and firewall environments, including Juniper and Palo Alto technologies or equivalent platforms.
• Provide technical guidance to the 1st line team, helping colleagues develop their troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain clear documentation of investigations, fixes and support procedures.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in a senior IT support, infrastructure support or 2nd/3rd line engineering role.
• Strong networking fundamentals, with the ability to explain and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing and switching confidently.
• Hands-on experience with, or a good working understanding of, Juniper switching and Palo Alto firewalls. Experience with equivalent technologies will also be considered.
• Practical administration experience across Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune.
• A logical, methodical approach to diagnosing faults and identifying root causes.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to support colleagues through technical challenges.
• Accountability for resolving issues and keeping users informed throughout.
