Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is partnering with an established technology business to recruit an IT Support Engineer in Malvern. This permanent, full-time role is predominantly office-based with a salary of £25,000–£30,000.

You will deliver hands-on IT support, set up users and permissions, and provide assistance by phone, remotely and on-site while learning cyber security practices. We seek commercial IT support experience, strong Windows knowledge, basic networking, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Commercial IT support experience in a service desk or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of Windows environments and basic networking.
• Methodical approach to troubleshooting and strong communication skills.
• Genuine interest in cyber security.
• Must be able to commute to Malvern and work predominantly on site.

Are you already working in IT support and looking for a genuine route into cyber security?

Hewett Recruitment is working with an established specialist technology business to recruit an IT Support Engineer. You will initially provide hands-on technical support to colleagues and customers while learning from experienced cyber professionals. As your capability develops, you will gain exposure to cyber , vulnerability assessment and security testing.

This is not an apprenticeship or a first IT job. You should already be comfortable resolving common issues and supporting users professionally.

What you will do:

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, access, device and connectivity issues.
• Set up users, accounts, permissions and equipment.
• Provide technical support by telephone, remotely and in person.
• Assist with documentation, customer onboarding and cyber security projects.
• Develop towards cyber assurance and vulnerability assessment work.

What we are looking for:

• Commercial experience in IT support, service desk, desktop support or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Windows environments and basic networking.
• A methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Evidence of a genuine interest in cyber security.
• Able to commute regularly to the Malvern area and work predominantly on site.
