Under minimal supervision, provide second-tier Information Technology (IT) support to end users and senior leadership, to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.

A successful IT Technician must have prior technical troubleshooting experience and a strong working knowledge of Windows/MAC and iOS operating systems. Experience with AV and VC systems is an advantage. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate well and build trust and confidence in their way of working. The role is suitable for someone with good attention to detail, who performs tasks professionally and in a timely manner to ensure a high level of customer experience.

The right candidate will be comfortable around very senior staff, working under pressure, and have experience providing rapid white-glove support at short notice.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot and recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties and recommend system modifications to reduce user problems.
  2. Support meeting rooms and video conferencing systems utilizing Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR).
  3. Adhere to established IT policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring conformance with information systems, goals, and procedures.
  4. Deliver consistent core IT services and a high-quality customer experience by meeting HDI and SLA targets.
  5. Ensure compliant and timely ticket queue management according to established processes.
  6. Ensure asset compliance using ITAM for PCs, tablets, and mobile phones, adhering to global processes.
  7. Provide training to end-users when indicated.
  8. Support and contribute to IT project initiatives throughout the year.
  9. Maintain thorough knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, and client applications. Maintain knowledge of Service Desk and IT Operations procedures related to client services.
  10. Escalate complex problems to management and provide information on severe or overdue issues.
  11. May be required to perform duties outside working hours or at other office locations within England when needed.

Requirements and Skills:

  1. Experience with PC/MAC OS hardware and software within a network environment.
  2. Working knowledge of industry standards for system and network administration.
  3. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
  5. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  6. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant experience.
