Job summary

VIQU Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on IT Support Engineer to remediate vulnerabilities across multiple sites. The role is full-time and onsite with travel across the South East and West; home location Oxford. Start date is immediate.

You will provide 1st and 2nd line support, patch management, and endpoint remediation, working independently to meet tight deadlines and keep systems secure ahead of audits.

Responsibilities

• Replace devices and resolve desktop/application issues.
• Travel regularly between sites across the Southeast, including Bristol and Norwich.
• Document completed work and remediation updates.

IT Support Engineer - Vulnerability Remediation

• Application patching, removal and updates

• Device replacement and troubleshooting
• Rapid7 - highly desirable

The Role

An established accountancy firm is looking for a hands‑on IT Support Engineer to support a rapidly growing IT function and help remediate vulnerabilities ahead of a Cyber Essentials Plus audit. The role will focus on practical field engineering activity across approximately 15 sites, with the successful Engineer expected to work independently and get on with tasks without requiring close management.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on 1st and 2nd line support.
• Remove, patch and update applications on user devices.
• Troubleshoot and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities identified through Rapid7.
• Replace devices and resolve desktop/application issues.
• Travel regularly between sites across the Southeast, including locations as far as Bristol and Norwich.
• Document completed work and provided updates on remediation activity.

The ideal Engineer will be a practical, hands‑on doer with strong IT Support experience who can work independently, troubleshoot problems and get things done within tight timescales.
