IT Support Analyst – Investment Management

Our client, an Investment Management company based in central London, is seeking an IT Support Analyst. The primary responsibility of the IT Support team is to provide premium support for Fixed Income & Equity applications, including proprietary and third-party solutions. The team acts as the main contact for problem resolution, process management, and customer follow-up regarding all technology-related client issues and requests.

This role is suitable for a graduate with several years of commercial IT support experience. The client is open to candidates with previous trading environment experience or those looking to transition into this area.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience supporting a production trading floor (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent client-facing skills, respected and liked by customers.
• Calmness under pressure, with appropriate urgency and focus.
• Effective collaboration with teams and clients across multiple locations, including US, UK, and Asia.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and escalation.
• Knowledge of electronic trading and FIX protocol (preferred).
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS) and Market Structures (preferred).

• Experience with desktop and trade floor moves and changes.
• Hardware break-fix skills.
• Server room management experience.
• PC build and rollout experience.
• Experience with market data applications like Bloomberg, Factset, Tradeweb.
• General infrastructure knowledge, e.g., Cisco and Microsoft servers.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell.
