Job summary

Express Recruitment is supporting a highly respected professional services firm in Nottingham seeking an IT Service Desk Engineer to join their IT services team on a full-time permanent basis. Based in a recently modernised city-centre office, you will be the first point of contact for a range of high-profile clients, handling incidents and requests, and ensuring tickets are resolved within SLA.

The role involves shift patterns from 8am to 6pm with 7.25-hour days, and a salary of around £28,000

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or NVQ Diploma in Information Technology or similar subject.
• Experience working in a Microsoft ITIL environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and Intune.
• Confident speaking with corporate clients.
• Capable of resolving technical problems efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for initial IT incidents and inquiries.
• Keep track of incoming tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Support end users with tasks including password resets and Office 365 onboarding.
• Assist with setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
• Perform 1st line diagnosis and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Adhere to daily/weekly SLA targets and contribute to time-saving improvements.

Skills & Experience

• Apprentice trained or NVQ Diploma in Information Technology or similar subject
• Previous experience working in a Microsoft ITIL environment
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and Intune
• Confident speaking with a wide range of corporate clients
• Capable of resolving technical problems efficiently and professionally
• Passionate about expanding knowledge of further IT systems and software applications
• Act as primary point of contact for all initial IT incidents and enquiries
• Keep track of incoming tickets raised via the systems, ensuring they are dealt with in a timely manner
• Support end users with a range of tasks, including but not limited to password resets, 365 onboarding, account set ups and decommissioning
• Support the wider IT services team with the set up and configuration of new hardware and software systems
• Carry out all 1st fix diagnosis and troubleshooting on IT systems and hardware, escalating more complex issues to senior team members
• Adhere to daily/weekly SLA targets, whilst working on side projects to identify time saving initiatives

Job Type and Hours

Monday - Friday, Shifts Between 8am to 6pm
