Job summary

OpalTec International Ltd is seeking an IT Repair Technician / Engineer based in Avonmouth, Bristol. The role focuses on repairing mobile computing devices, barcode scanners and thermal printers, with involvement in debugging, rework and refurbishment projects.

You will handle product configuration, testing, and provide basic 1st line support including logging calls and updating customers on progress. This full-time position requires attention to detail and the ability to work with small

Qualifications

• Basic PCB/SMT understanding and Android OS knowledge.
• Good fault finding and hand soldering skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with small components.
• Experience in product assembly, disassembly and testing.
• Ability to log calls and provide basic first-line customer support.

Responsibilities

• Repair mobile computing devices, barcode scanners and thermal printers.
• Perform component level debug, rework and refurbishment projects.
• Configure products and update firmware as required.
• Provide some 1st line support, log calls and escalate when needed.
