Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a long-term defense project across the UK. The role requires managing complex initiatives with high visibility, ensuring effective control, risk management, and successful delivery across multi-site teams.

The ideal candidate has substantial project management experience, familiarity with PLM/ERP/CAD domains, and knowledge of tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, IBM DOORS, Cameo or SAP.

Qualifications

• Has been successful in the role of Project Manager or has 4–6 years prior project experience leading small to medium-sized projects.
• Must be fully mobile in terms of assignment location
• Has a proven record of realistic estimation and demonstrates financial/cost awareness, along with customer-facing and behavioural skills to take responsibility for medium-sized projects
• Experience of managing projects with a value of £1M - £2M
• Ideally would have at least one External Project Management Certification

Responsibilities

• Plans and controls projects with external dependencies and re-baselines to maintain outcomes.
• Manages scope and milestone changes across multi-streamed projects.
• Controls risks, issues and changes with proactive mitigation actions.
• Leverages Atos tools and processes while reconciling costs.
• Ensures seamless handover of project outputs to the client or Atos organization.
