Job summary

Air IT Group is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to lead IT project delivery, driving successful migrations, migrations and infrastructure refresh for SME clients. You will coordinate with the PMO and cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are planned and executed to a high standard.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Technical Pre-Sales / Solutions Architecture, delivering from design through to handover and documentation. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in IT project delivery.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID & Active Directory configuration.
• Skills in virtualization technologies including Hyper‑V & VMware.
• Proficiency in Windows Server stack (2008–2025) with key server roles (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS).
• Exchange administration & migration experience – On-premise and Exchange Online (365).
• Strong network infrastructure knowledge (firewalls, switches, WLAN).
• Experience with Business Continuity & DR platforms (Datto, Veeam, StorageCraft, Altaro).
• Experience deploying end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile).
• Familiarity with storage appliances and security products (SANs, Mimecast, Sophos, Cisco Meraki).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driving license for on-site project work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT system migration and infrastructure refresh projects for SME businesses.
• Deploy core IT infrastructure from ground up, including network equipment and server installs.
• Lead Microsoft 365 deployment/migration projects (Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access).
• Collaborate with PMO to schedule and manage customer projects.
• Collaborate with Technical Pre-Sales / Solutions Architecture teams on design and plans.
• Provide comprehensive handovers to Service Desk after project completion.
• Maintain accurate project records in the CRM and document site procedures.
