Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a 12-month contract in the technology sector. Hybrid work requires 2-3 days in the office. You will lead the mobilising programme with disciplined, tech-savvy, proactive delivery.

Key responsibilities include planning and delivering cross-workstream projects, managing the lifecycle from definition to close, and reporting to the Programme Director. Strong IT, software, consulting or professional services experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior project management experience in IT/software/consulting or professional services.
• Experience managing large, complex plans with multiple critical paths.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies and tailoring approaches.
• Familiarity with Public Sector technology programmes.
• Experience in cloud-based Service Delivery Projects.
• Proficient in RAID governance and project delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver projects across workstreams within fixed timelines.
• Support and drive projects through lifecycle from definition to close, incl. scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risks, issues, change and stakeholders.
• Use standard project management tools to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Assist Programme Director in programme-level planning, reporting and governance.
• Ensure quality of detailed plans and manage delivery across projects and workstreams.
• Govern project delivery including stakeholder reporting, change management and issue resolution.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks for smooth delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure delivery.
