Job summary

PLM is seeking a hands-on PLM Consultant to work with clients in the Guildford area. You will translate business needs into practical PLM recommendations, configure systems, and support the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to training and go-live.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, gain a deep understanding of product data workflows, and drive successful implementation while building trusted advisor relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience consulting or working in a client-facing role of 2–4 years.
• Solid understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments.
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx.
• Background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related field.

Responsibilities

What will your day to day look like?

You’ll work closely with clients to understand their product lifecycle challenges, then design, configure and implement PLM solutions that improve how their teams manage product data, workflows and engineering processes. Gather and analyse client requirements across product development, manufacturing and lifecycle management Translate business needs into clear PLM recommendations and solution designs Configure PLM systems to match client workflows

This role will suit you if you...

• 2-4 years' experience in consultancy or a similar client-facing role
• Understanding of PLM, digital transformation or engineering software environments
• Experience with PTC solutions such as Windchill, Creo or ThingWorx
• A background in IT, industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into practical solution recommendations
• Basic project management experience
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Confidence running workshops, training sessions and client conversations
• Strong listening skills and solid consulting acumen
• Self-driven, proactive and comfortable managing your own workload
• Ability to adapt to different client environments and project requirements
• A drive to keep developing your technical and consulting skills
