Job summary

Mass Limited is seeking an IT Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership for stable, secure and resilient services. You will partner with technical teams and senior stakeholders to drive performance, manage risk and ensure services meet customer and organisational expectations.

Responsibilities include leading multi-disciplinary teams, setting priorities, and delivering improvements while overseeing capacity planning and risk management in a national security context.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in an IT-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
• Leadership, management or project management qualification.
• Experience leading complex IT operations, infrastructure or services.
• Strong understanding of IT service management principles and operational governance.
• Commercial awareness and supplier management experience.
• DV clearance (UKEO) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership, setting priorities, standards and delivery expectations.
• Lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Ensure services are operated, maintained and supported to agreed requirements.
• Drive service improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability and outcomes.
• Manage operational risk, service issues, security and resilience activities.
• Oversee capacity planning and readiness for new services and changes.
• Represent operational interests in decision-making forums.
• Use management information and performance data to support decisions and continuous improvement.
• Contribute operational expertise to long-term planning and service sustainability.
