Job summary

Equans is seeking an IT Operations Centre Analyst for our Quorum Business Park office in Newcastle on a 6‑month FTC. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours/week) with a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will coordinate incidents end‑to‑end, manage escalations, patching activities, backups, change visibility, and service transition for the ITOC. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar role, ITIL Foundation, MCP/MCP certifications, and Network & Security qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally 3–5 years.
  • ITIL Foundation minimum.
  • Network & Security qualifications.
  • Microsoft Server Qualifications (MCP).
  • Any additional IT certification (e.g. PRINCE2) or vendor certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage incidents end-to-end, ensuring timely restoration of service.
  • Triage escalated technical issues and engage the appropriate resolver teams and suppliers.
  • Schedule and coordinate patching activities with internal teams.
  • Review backup logs and follow up on failed backup jobs with appropriate teams.
  • Support Change Management by ensuring visibility and approvals for planned work impacting the ITOC.
  • Support Service Transition by ensuring new or decommissioned CIs are captured in service processes.
  • Maintain accurate incident queues and ensure timely updates within the service management tool.
  • Provide daily operational checks and produce reporting for patching progress and KPIs.
  • Participate in small project activities relevant to ITOC responsibilities.
