Job description

About the team and the role:

The Technology Team at Volante is responsible for all areas of IT and Technology for all teams across the globe. We are a collaborative, friendly and fast-paced team with the objective of delivering seamless good customer service using our third parties to delivery these services where possible.This role will be ideal for someone looking to develop their career and wants to build upon their experience in IT Operations, support, cyber security or cloud services and has ambition to grow within the company.

Expectations are that the successful candidate will be able build a rapport with all Volante personnel and become the first point of escalation for all issues and queries.

How you'll contribute:

Technology Team Member

  • Support the IT Operations Manager in day to day activities
  • Support the Team in successful delivery of key business and technology projects

IT Support

  • Call escalation / VIP support
  • User assistance (remote and onsite in the London office)
  • Support liaison between users and third parties
  • Basic Salesforce support
  • London Office onsite support
  • Conferencing facilities support
  • Day to day small requests, e.g. Password resets, permissions, laptop issues
  • Basic networking
  • Scripting (Powershell)

Asset Management

  • Track technology assets across the company
  • Schedule build and patching
  • Assist with Laptop/device/VDI builds (Azure & Windows 365)
  • Arrange for asset movements, including WEE processes and home delivery from stores
  • Arranging for deliveries and collections of hardware across the world
  • Installation and maintenance of hardware at company offices
  • Purchasing of standard hardware assets
  • Performing regular audits and reconciliation of assets across the company

Identity Management

  • New starters and leavers process (JML)
  • User Creation and administration in co-ordination with MSP
  • New starter onboarding
  • Writing manuals/New Starter Pack
  • Performing regular audits and reconciliation of user identities across solutions

IT Security

  • Alert monitoring
  • Alert investigation
  • Auditing
  • Privileged Identity Management Reviews
  • Security release requests
  • Application allow listing
  • Basic Firewall/proxy knowledge

IT Operations

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Maintain the department diary
  • Schedule, Execute and manage SOP
  • Design, Document and audit new procedures SOP
  • Management and Vendor reporting
  • Handle approvals and internal referrals
  • Solution onboarding, including InTune packaging and security changes
  • Maintaining documentation and manuals

IT Projects

  • An active participant of technology project teams
  • Owning small technology deliverables e.g. laptop refresh

IT Governance

  • Supplier monitoring
  • Assist with regular Audits for all territories

Technology stack overview

  • Laptops

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have;

  • A proactive and positive approach to work,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Willingness to learn,
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • Good communications skills,
  • Competence with Microsoft 365 and associated software
  • Competence in Windows 11
  • Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and organisational skills,
  • A keen interest in technology.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in a support or similar role. Although we would consider other with the correct culture who wish to progress in IT.
  • Windows 10 and Office Applications experience are mandatory
  • Microsoft 365 is preferred
  • Basic Intune and Azure knowledge is an advantage
