Oracle Red Bull Racing is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate and improve our high‑performance network across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will handle LAN/WAN, VPNs, wireless, routing, switching and firewall platforms within a Cisco‑based ecosystem.

The role requires strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF, security practices and incident response, plus experience with hybrid infrastructure and project delivery. CCNA is required; CCNP is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with enterprise campus and data center networks.
• Strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF, LAN/WAN, wireless, and firewall technologies.
• CCNA certification as a minimum; CCNP level is desirable.
• Experience supporting hybrid on‑premises and cloud connectivity.
• Cisco SDA/ACI, ISE, Firepower and WLC familiarity is a plus.

We're looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer who's as passionate about performance as we are, helping to build and maintain the systems that power one of the most innovative teams in motorsport.

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Team. The role will play a key part in the design, support and maintenance of RBTG’s network infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical foundation in routing and switching, together with practical experience across LAN, WAN, VPNs, wireless networks and firewalls. The role will involve the day-to-day operation and support of the network environment, as well as contributing to infrastructure projects, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure & Operations

• Support the implementation, configuration and maintenance of a complex network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, routing, switching and firewall platforms, within a predominantly Cisco-based network environment.
• Proactively monitor network performance, capacity, availability and security, identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact business operations wherever possible.
• Take ownership of assigned network infrastructure and operational tasks and see them through to completion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues, escalating more complex problems when required.
• Carry out root cause analysis following incidents and contribute to preventative actions.
• Support routine maintenance, including firmware upgrades, patching, configuration changes and system optimisation.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, performance, security and operational efficiency.
• Review configurations, monitoring alerts and processes to identify potential issues and improvements.
• Recommend and implement practical improvements, including automation where appropriate.
• Contribute to technical discussions and the ongoing development of the network environment.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure network infrastructure is operated in line with security best practice and organisational policies.
• Support security audits, vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Implement security patches and updates as required.
• Ensure network changes are appropriately planned, tested, documented and implemented through the established change management process.

Projects & Collaboration

• Support the delivery of network and infrastructure projects, including implementation, testing and deployment.
• Assist with the introduction of new network technologies and infrastructure improvements.
• Work with senior engineers and other IT teams to deliver changes and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working with enterprise campus and data center networks.
• Strong practical knowledge of enterprise routing protocols (BGP and OSPF), switching, LAN/WAN, wireless networking and firewall technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise network environments and resolving connectivity issues.
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments, including on-premises and cloud connectivity.
• Experience contributing to infrastructure projects, technology implementations or network changes.
• CCNA certification as a minimum, or equivalent level of knowledge and proven experience
• CCNP certification, or currently working towards CCNP. (Desired)
• Practical experience with Cisco software-defined networking including SDA and ACI, alongside Cisco ISE, Firepower and WLC. (Desired)
