Job summary

Reed Technology is seeking an experienced IT Operations professional to support and enhance our technology function. The role blends hands-on operations with transformation initiatives in a growing organisation.

Working closely with the Head of Technology, you will stabilise day-to-day operations, improve processes, manage third-party suppliers and deliver practical technology improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT operations and service delivery improvements.
• Track record of managing change within growing organisations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with third-party suppliers and MSPs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, review and implement process improvements across the IT estate.
• Manage and develop the relationship with the Managed Service Provider, ensuring high levels of service delivery.
• Review and enhance starter, mover and leaver processes.
• Improve site visit procedures and on-site support services.
• Drive efficiency initiatives and automation opportunities to streamline business processes.
• Support the delivery of operational and strategic technology projects.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Operations & Technology candidate to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our technology function.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys making a tangible impact. Working closely with the Head of Technology, you will help stabilise day-to-day operations, improve processes, manage third-party suppliers, and deliver practical technology improvements across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, solutions-focused, and comfortable working across both operational support and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, review and implement process improvements across the IT estate
• Manage and develop the relationship with the Managed Service Provider, ensuring high levels of service delivery
• Review and enhance starter, mover and leaver processes
• Improve site visit procedures and on-site support services
• Drive efficiency initiatives and automation opportunities to streamline business processes
• Support the delivery of operational and strategic technology projects
• Act as a trusted deputy to the Head of Technology, helping reduce operational pressure and improve overall service effectiveness

About You

We are looking for an experienced IT professional who combines strong operational knowledge with a passion for continuous improvement.

You will likely have:

• Experience proving IT support
• Experience in project management and change management.
• A strong track record of process improvement and service optimisation
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and outsourced service providers
