IT Manager

We have partnered with a leading manufacturing customer in their search for a new hands-on IT Manager. This role requires an individual with extensive technical knowledge who is keen to stay hands-on while providing leadership and strategic direction within the team. It may suit someone with previous management experience or someone looking to take the next step in their career.

Role responsibilities and skills:

1. Manage the factory IT support teams on a daily basis.
2. Provide technical support and mentorship to IT team members.
3. Set and execute the strategic plan for IT services and infrastructure.
4. Oversee the operation and maintenance of all corporate computer systems across multiple locations.
5. Deliver reliable IT services primarily for factory operations as part of an IT shared service.
6. Support the deployment of new systems and applications, coordinating with external partners and internal teams.
7. Ensure company systems meet industry standards for compliance and licensing.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, Azure, InTune, and Teams.
9. Manage network configurations including LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, and Wi-Fi.
10. Maintain network cybersecurity, mitigate risks, manage SOC providers, and implement security measures in OT environments.
11. Understand virtual environments such as VMWare.
12. Manage company data, backups, and off-site storage.
13. Maintain standards like TISAX accreditation for information security.
14. Knowledge of MS SQL management and clustering.
15. Hands-on experience with PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
