Job summary

Edbro Hydraulics Ltd in Bolton is seeking an IT Manager to lead all IT and communications, ensuring on-site and remote systems are maintained and secure.

You will manage relationships with external IT providers, drive ERP evolution from Glovia to Epicor, implement cyber essentials, and control the IT budget. This role requires a proactive, results-driven manager capable of multi-tasking in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as IT Manager or equivalent.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor Kinetic or Glovia.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with external IT service providers for email, network, backups, and printers.

• Mentor IT Apprentice.
• Manage annual IT budget.

Role: IT Manager

Reporting into: Managing Director

Location: Bolton - BL3 2JJ

Job Summary:

To be the lead for all IT and communications for the company ensuring all on-site and remote systems are maintained and ensuring appropriate security measures in place.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage relationship with external IT service providers for e-mail/network/backups/printers.
• Manage relationship with ERP supplier and other external IT suppliers.
• Gain compliance for cyber essentials.
• Manage and create cost efficient contracts for IT companies and Telephony.
• Advise on IT infrastructure.
• Maintain, implement and improve business automations
• Manage day to day ERP solution (currently Glovia to move to Epicor).
• Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structure.
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
• Mentor and Guide IT Apprentice

Required Education, Training, Skills & Experience:

• Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience of Epicor Kinetic would be advantageous.
• Project management experience also advantageous along with cost management.
• A proven track record of quickly adding value in a fast-paced environment.
• Technically strong with a commercial mind-set.
• An investigative mind, both on tasks at hand but also to question if there is a better way.
• Ability to progress many activities concurrently.
• Proven ability to work under pressure.
• Experience of developing processes and procedures.
