Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College is offering an IT & Library Services Digital Support Apprentice role. This fixed-term apprenticeship is 18 months, 35 hours per week, with a salary of £14,560 per annum.

The post holder will support the laptop loan scheme, assist with digital learning resources, and gain experience in business administration, customer service, IT support, and asset management across ICT and Library teams.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above, or willingness to achieve during apprenticeship.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise workload and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the effective management of the College's student laptop loan scheme and digital learning resources while developing skills in business administration, customer service, IT support and asset management.
• Work across both the ICT and Library teams, ensuring college-owned laptops are maintained, recorded, and allocated to the correct users and supported throughout their lifecycle.
• Engage with students, staff and external stakeholders while maintaining high standards of record keeping and customer service.
