Job summary

BMW Group UK in Farnborough offers an IT Infrastructure placement year designed to give you hands-on experience with a global automotive leader. You will join a collaborative team, taking on responsibilities from day one and contributing to real projects that use AI and digital technologies to support manufacturing operations.

You will gain broad exposure to IT disciplines, including networking, communications, and end-user devices, while developing problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration

Qualifications

• Must be studying an IT, Business or Engineering degree.
• Degree 2:2 or higher required.
• Return to studies for a minimum of 6 months after placement.

Responsibilities

• Be an active member of the IT infrastructure team.
• Support and assist internal customers and team colleagues.
• Responsible for IT Intranet pages and knowledge areas.
• Gain knowledge across Networking, Communications and Workplace End Devices.
• Assist with purchase orders and liaise with suppliers as required.

What awaits you?

• To be an active member of the infrastructure team.
• Working with and supporting all members of the team.
• Provide support and assistance to our internal customers.
• Responsible for the IT Intranet pages.
• Gaining knowledge in all areas of IT Infrastructure (Networking, Communications and Workplace (End Devices).
• To assist with raising purchase orders and liaise/coordinate with Suppliers as required.

• Studying an IT, Business or Engineering related degree working towards a 2:2 or higher.
