BMW Group UK in Farnborough offers a placement year in IT Infrastructure where you’ll be part of a busy team, gaining hands-on experience and real responsibilities from day one.

You’ll rotate across networking, communications and workplace tech, support internal customers, help maintain intranet pages, and learn how AI and digital tech power modern manufacturing. This is a great stepping stone into a global automotive leader.

Formación

• Pursuing an IT, Business or Engineering degree with a 2:2 or higher.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Curious, proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning.

Responsabilidades

• Act as an active member of the IT Infrastructure team.
• Support and assist internal customers and colleagues.
• Assist with IT Intranet pages and documentation.
• Gain knowledge in Networking, Communications and Workplace technologies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and assist with purchasing where needed.
• Engage with the team to deliver on projects and initiatives.

Working alongside experienced professionals across a wide range of IT disciplines, you'll have the opportunity to explore different specialisms, contribute to innovative projects leveraging AI and digital technologies, and gain unique insight into how technology enables modern manufacturing operations.

What awaits you?

• To be an active member of the infrastructure team.
• Working with and supporting all members of the team.
• Provide support and assistance to our internal customers.
• Responsible for the IT Intranet pages.
• Gaining knowledge in all areas of IT Infrastructure (Networking, Communications and Workplace (End Devices).
• To assist with raising purchase orders and liaise/coordinate with Suppliers as required.

What should you bring along?

• Studying an IT, Business or Engineering related degree working towards a 2:2 or higher.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with colleagues across a global organisation.
