About the role…

Our IT Department is expanding, and we have a new role available for an IT Infrastructure Engineer! As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will work as part of the IT Infrastructure department. Your core responsibilities include supporting and maintaining infrastructure solutions and services, ensuring service delivery, and acting as an escalation point for the wider support desks.

This role will also involve project work.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work with the Infrastructure Manager to ensure changes are planned and implemented in a structured and assured manner.
2. Assist with testing and ongoing review of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
3. Assist in infrastructure incident management and resolution.
4. Respond promptly to alerts generated by monitoring systems.
5. Support the IT Service Desk function.
6. Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure proactively.
7. Document practices, create process flow diagrams, and maintain the knowledge base.

Candidate Requirements

• Networking (LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Managed Switches, VLANs)
• Scripting languages such as PowerShell or automation tools
• Veeam Backup (desired but not essential)
• Linux/Unix administration (desired but not essential)
