Job summary

The Curve Group is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer in London to join our technology team. This hands-on role spans 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support and core IT operations, including backups, patching and vulnerability remediation.

You will work across Windows, M365, Exchange and Azure, ensuring availability and security of the IT estate while collaborating with a friendly team and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in hands-on IT support, infrastructure or IT operations.
• Experience providing 2nd line support with some 3rd line exposure.
• Strong Windows desktop and Windows Server knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Azure.
• Practical experience with enterprise backup and restore solutions.
• Experience of vulnerability management, patching and remediation in production.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support across hardware, software, infrastructure and applications.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Exchange and Azure-related issues.
• Monitor and operate backup and replication routines across on-premises and Azure environments.
• Carry out daily patch checks and deploy approved patches.
• Investigate and remediate vulnerabilities identified through scanning and audits.
• Support endpoint protection, email filtering and other security tooling.
• Assist with application releases, system upgrades and IT projects.
• Work with third-party suppliers to resolve issues and deliver fixes.
• Maintain technical documentation and IT reporting.

I'm working with a growing UK bank that's looking for an IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer to join its technology team.

This is a broad, hands-on role that goes well beyond a traditional service desk position. You'll be providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line technical support, while also taking responsibility for key IT operations, including backup and replication, patch management and vulnerability remediation.

You'll be working across a varied technology environment, supporting users and systems, resolving technical issues and helping maintain the availability, security and resilience of the Bank's IT estate, working in a friendly, collaborative team!

Role -

• Providing hands-on 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support across hardware, software, infrastructure and applications
• Troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365, Exchange and Azure-related issues
• Monitoring and operating backup and replication routines across on-premises and Azure environments

• Supporting endpoint protection, email filtering and other security tooling

Requirements -

• Several years' experience in a hands-on IT support, infrastructure or IT operations role
• Experience providing 2nd line support, ideally with some 3rd line exposure
• Strong Windows desktop and Windows Server knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange / Exchange Online and Microsoft Azure
• Practical experience with enterprise backup and restore solutions
• Experience of vulnerability management, patching and remediation in a production environment
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across a broad technology estate
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Experience within financial services, particularly a smaller bank or financial institution, would be highly beneficial.

Experience with Tenable, Arcserve, Intune, VMware, SharePoint or Zscaler would also be useful, although equivalent technologies may be considered.

This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes variety and wants to work in an environment where they can make a real contribution across IT support, infrastructure and security.
