Job summary

Complete Security Recruitment Ltd is seeking an IT Manager to lead governance, information security and compliance within the IT Department in Hertfordshire. You will manage the IT Helpdesk, act as a technical escalation point, and ensure technology change aligns with business priorities.

Responsibilities include maintaining ISO 27001 accreditation, providing assurance for audits, and driving continual improvement of service delivery and security across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as IT Manager, information security or similar governance/compliance role.
• Experience operating an ISO 27001–aligned management system with external audits.
• IT helpdesk or service desk leadership with service management knowledge.
• Strong background in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Windows Server and endpoint management.
• Experience handling security questionnaires, supplier assessments and tender responses.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance for technology projects, information security and cyber security.
• Maintain ISO accreditations and information security management system; assess risk and compliance.
• Be the main technology contact for assurance, supplier assessments and bid responses.
• Govern and improve information management and collaboration platforms.
• Manage IT Helpdesk and act as escalation point for complex issues.
• Introduce service management disciplines; ensure structured, measurable delivery.
• Drive continual improvement in service quality, resilience and user experience.
• Lead initiatives to simplify processes using automation and AI where appropriate.
• Develop the IT team's capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
