Job summary

Cabot Financial is seeking an IT Governance, Risk & Control Specialist to strengthen our IT control environment across the UK and Europe. You will design, implement and embed governance and operational controls, ensuring processes like backup, vulnerability and resilience are auditable and improved.

You will work across IT Operations, Risk, Compliance and Audit, driving best practice under SOX, ISO27001, NIST and PCI, with a strong focus on risk management and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivery in IT Governance or Risk and Controls.
• In-depth knowledge of IT regulatory frameworks standards: ISO27001, Sarbanes-Oxley, NIST, PCI.
• Experience collaborating with IT Operations, Risk, Compliance, Audit and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication with IT staff and senior stakeholders/risk committees.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve IT Governance, Risk and Control frameworks across IT Operations.
• Review and maintain IT policies, procedures and controls to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
• Coordinate responses and provide evidence across SOX, ISO27001, NIST and PCI during audits.
• Monitor, report on and support remediation of audit findings and IT risks.
• Provide expert guidance on governance, risk and compliance matters to IT Operations and stakeholders.
• Embed best practice by partnering with Risk, Compliance, Audit and IT teams.
• Support business continuity, resilience, patch management and vulnerability management from a governance perspective.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase effectiveness and maturity of IT controls.
• Build and maintain governance documentation and control evidence repositories.
