Job Description:

IT Governance Officer / IT Service Desk Manager

Our client is a globally recognized, successful bank providing retail and corporate financial services/products, with over 10 million active customers across 700+ locations. We are seeking an experienced IT Governance Officer for a hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. IT Service Desk Oversight: Manage the IT Service Desk to ensure efficient support and continuous improvement.
  2. Compliance and Governance: Oversee compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001, and other standards, conduct monthly controls testing, manage audit/risk actions, and ensure documentation is up to date. Oversee vendor SLAs and conduct due diligence.
  3. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Coordinate and perform regular DR and BCP testing; ensure infrastructure resilience.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Proven experience in IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Experience working with auditors or in a 2nd line of defense role.
  • Vendor management and SLA compliance experience.
  • Experience with DR and BCP testing.
  • Cloud computing technology expertise.
  • Service Desk management experience.
  • Strong understanding of ISO27001 and regulatory standards.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
