Job summary

Allstate Northern Ireland Limited is offering a 12-month IT placement starting in summer 2027 in Belfast or Derry/Londonderry. The role targets IT undergraduates with a customer-centric approach and an interest in hardware, software and networking.

You will work within an Agile technology team, receiving mentorship and exposure to modern technologies, while developing technical, professional and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• All candidates must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
• Expecting to complete your second year of a computing-related degree course by the end of June 2027 (or the third year for relevant IT degrees).
• You will have achieved 2.1 classification or higher in your course modules to date. Please include a full list of module marks from your first year and any current year to date.
• As part of this role, you will be required to be in your assigned Office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Optimise employee satisfaction by providing a support service experience that employees find welcoming and appealing
• Deliver support services that employees are eager to use - support includes personalised configuration, troubleshooting, problem resolution and proactive technical advice
• Support mobility devices such as company mobile phones (Android, iOS), iPad
• Provide application and hardware support for all managed desktops (Windows/OSX), printers, network connectivity, VPN etc. including lifecycle management of workstations
• Provide personalised incident management for ticket creation, engineering engagement, escalation and direction – be a single point of contact for communication status.
