Job summary

Allstate NI in Belfast offers a 12‑month Product Engineer Placement as part of the Early Career Development Programme. You will work within an Allstate Technology Solutions team, gaining hands‑on experience across the full tech stack using languages like Java, Python and JavaScript, cloud platforms, APIs, and DevOps practices.

The programme introduces AI literacy with practical AI learning and professional skills development, including onboarding, business awareness, and structured learning

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate.
• Expected to complete second year of engineering focused degree by June 2027 (or third year for IT degrees).
• Must have a 2.1 average or Commendation if master's degree is pursued.
• Provide a full module marks list from year 1 and current year to date at application.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyse code across the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with senior developers and project managers to deliver solutions and support testing.
• Analyse designs, requirements, and technical specifications to contribute effective solutions.
• Support technical issue resolution and share knowledge to maintain standards.
• Track key performance indicators and iterate for improvement.
