We are looking for an IT Engineer to join and be part of the Global Service Delivery team, who are responsible for the installation, delivery and configuration of the Baxter ICNet product suite globally as well as the integration of other Baxter products.

This key role in the Delivery team focuses on the installation, upgrading, supporting and troubleshooting of Baxter's software deployments globally as well as proactively monitoring the health of customers’ servers and services and handling customer connectivity infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual with a strong IT background who can own and refine existing tasks while also acting at the IT domain expert to help define and craft the future of the IT services that the delivery team provides to the business.

The team are based in Gloucester so there will be an expectation to travel to site for meetings.

What you'll be doing:

• Install and configuration of Baxter software applications
  
• Configure customer servers to Baxter requirements
  
• Establishment of VPN connections to servers
  
• Install Rhapsody Integration Engine
  
• SQL Server and MySQL installation and support
  
• Performing upgrades of ICNET software products and associated support tools including database and integration engine
  
• Installation and Support of demonstration systems
  
• 24/7 Support via an on-call Rota
  
  
  

Infrastructure;

• Management of networking monitoring infrastructure
  
• Management of customer connectivity solutions
  
• N3 and site-to-site Firewall Management
  
• Virtual Machine Management (Hyper-V and VMWare)
  
• Deployment and support of desktop virtual machines for customer connectivity solution
  
  
  

Server Operations; Investigate and resolve server related customer incidents:

• Performance issues with Baxter software products
  
• Windows Scheduler
  
• SQL Server and MySQL performance tuning and general troubleshooting.
  
• Database Backups
  
• SMTP and SMS configuration
  
• Connectivity issues – including VPN / Firewall / SNMP / RDP
  
• Manage the migration of Baxter software between servers
  
  
  

What we need from you:

• Juniper or equivalent Firewall experience
  
• MCSE or equivalent real-world experience
  
• MySQL and/or MS SQL Server management and/or performance or confirmed experience
  
• ITIL Frameworks or shown experience
  
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft based server and desktop operating systems
  
• Working knowledge of IIS and/or Apache
  
• Strong understanding of hardware and networks
  
• Management and configuration of VPNs, Firewalls and Antivirus
  
• Some Linux experience (Red Hat being our chosen Linux distribution)
  
• Knowledge of Containerisation preferable
