Job Description

As an IT Engineer, you will help us deliver solutions across diverse non-functional environments, supporting our suite of products. Your role will involve designing, building, maintaining, and supporting these environments to facilitate validation of our in-house software offerings.

If you're seeking the next step in your career, this role involves validating mission-critical bespoke software and solutions, enabling smooth deployment into the blue light emergency services market through our delivery and support teams.

Join a dedicated team deploying and validating NEC/SSS solutions. We are looking for experienced engineers with a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Job Activities & Responsibilities:
  • Design and build self-contained environments (Rigs) to meet business needs.
  • Deploy, debug, and troubleshoot NEC/SSS bespoke software installations.
  • Build, manage, and integrate third-party products like PBXs, radios, and recorders with NEC/SSS products.
  • Deploy and test monthly WSUS updates in collaboration with SSS security teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to NEC/SSS engineering, development, and testing teams.
  • Follow company procedures (Local Procedures, ISO20000-1) and suggest improvements via CSIP.
Qualifications
Who are you?
  • Ideally educated to HND/HNC level or with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and logical troubleshooting ability.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory/domain architecture.
  • Hardware skills with Dell/HP or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Windows Server up to 2022.
  • Deployment experience with Microsoft Windows and server OS via WDS.
  • Managing and deploying Windows Updates using WSUS.
  • Experience with virtualization environments like Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Enthusiasm for IT and capability to learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Experience following ITIL best practices.
Desired Skills
  • Scripting (Batch, MySQL, PowerShell).
  • Clustering knowledge.
  • Database administration (MySQL/MSSQL).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of antivirus solutions like Symantec.
  • Linux experience.
  • Understanding of VOIP/SIP protocols.
  • Knowledge of PBXs (AVAYA, Asterisk, CCM).
  • Networking principles, supporting Cisco switches and routers.
