Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking an IT Desktop Support Analyst to join our national desktop team, providing high-quality end-user support in a large corporate IT environment.
Based in our Birmingham offices, you will resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues, offer desk-side and remote support for Windows, and help deploy PCs and peripherals while building strong relationships with users.

As Stantec UK continues to grow, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for an IT Desktop Support Analyst to be based in our Birmingham office as part of our national desktop team. This role offers exposure to a complex, large-scale corporate IT environment, with opportunities to contribute to high-impact work and build your technical career.
You’ll join an established Desktop Support team across the UK of around 20 people, delivering high-quality technical support to end users through desk-side and remote support. Working collaboratively with your peers, you’ll help resolve operational and technical issues while maintaining excellent service standards.
You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to challenging projects, including upcoming integration work related to newly acquired organisations as well as office moves. With teams spread across the UK, the role offers exposure to supporting users both regionally and nationally.
Please note due to the nature of the role you would be required to be office based, spending time each week across our Birmingham offices ((Edmund Street, Cherry Street and Redditch).
In this role, you will:
Resolve end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently
Provide desk-side and remote technical support across Windows environments
Build, configure, rebuild, and deploy PCs and peripherals
Collaborate with colleagues to resolve incidents and improve service delivery
Support IT projects, including system and organisational integrations
Build strong relationships with users through excellent customer service
Travel occasionally to regional offices to provide on-site support
Your work will directly support the productivity and experience of colleagues across Stantec UK
In the Desktop Analyst role, you will deliver direct value to the business by ensuring reliable and efficient end‑user technology that enables colleagues to work productively with minimal disruption. You will reduce downtime through prompt incident resolution, proactive problem management, and clear communication with users. You will also support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, and adhering to security and IT policies, helping the business operate smoothly, securely, and cost‑effectively.
You will be an experienced IT Desktop Support Analyst who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments
Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Solid understanding of PC hardware, including configuration and rebuilds
A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Flexibility to travel occasionally to regional offices
