Job summary

Mentmore Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Head of IT Project Delivery in Milton Keynes (office-based). You will lead the IT delivery function, ensuring the portfolio is governed, delivered to time and budget, and aligned with strategic priorities.

You will shape the PMO, manage external partners and drive technology transformation across ERP, CRM, and infrastructure in a fast-moving growth environment. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the CIO.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an IT delivery function, PMO or equivalent delivery organisation.
• Oversight of project managers, programmes and portfolio-wide delivery.
• Experience establishing, improving or maturing delivery governance, processes and controls.
• Background in private equity-backed environments and fast-paced settings.
• Strong ability to work with senior stakeholders and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• IT Delivery Leadership: take overall responsibility for execution of the project and programme portfolio.
• Governance & PMO: embed robust governance, reporting and controls with clear visibility of progress.
• Portfolio Oversight: oversee multiple projects to align with timelines and outcomes.
• Team Leadership: develop a delivery team with clear accountability and standards.
• Third-Party Management: manage external delivery partners with oversight and performance accountability.
• Business Stakeholder Engagement: report to CIO and senior stakeholders with constructive challenge.
• Transformation Delivery: oversee ERP, CRM, infrastructure and customer platforms initiatives.
• M&A Integration: oversee IT delivery activities linked to acquisitions and integration.
• Continuous Improvement: mature the delivery function for ongoing growth.
