An exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Configuration Manager to join a forward-thinking technology organisation, taking ownership of a newly created role as part of a wider ITSM restructure. This position offers the chance to shape how Configuration Management is delivered, governed, and championed across a complex enterprise environment.

As the IT Configuration Manager, you'll play a key role in managing and enhancing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data quality, governance, and alignment with wider business goals. You'll work closely with ServiceNow specialists, Service Management, and senior technology stakeholders - including the CTO, Service Owners, and the Head of Infrastructure - to embed practical ITIL processes and ensure configuration data drives smarter operational decisions.

This is both a strategic and hands‑on role where you'll act as a champion for Configuration Management, driving improvements, engaging senior stakeholders, and fostering a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Key Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience in Configuration Management or a related IT Service Management (ITSM) discipline.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow, CIs, and Service Offerings.
• Proven experience implementing or improving a CMDB, ideally in an enterprise environment.
• Solid grasp of ITIL principles and how to apply them pragmatically in real-world settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience managing data governance, process utilisation, and third-party service delivery.
• Collaborative and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to champion continuous improvement.
