Operating within the Lloyd’s and wider international insurance environment, the organisation offers a stable and well-supported platform for career growth, backed by a strong parent group and a reputation for delivering value in complex risk areas.

They are committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven culture where employees are empowered to make meaningful contributions. With a focus on professional development, innovation, and continuous improvement, this is a dynamic environment for individuals looking to make a tangible impact in the insurance technology space.

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for the coordination, control and administration of change and transition activities within the IT function. You will ensure all Requests for Change (RFCs) are assessed, documented, authorised and delivered in accordance with defined processes, with all transition-related tasks completed and signed off ahead of go-live. The position plays a pivotal part in safeguarding service stability and protecting the integrity of critical systems across a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the lifecycle of RFCs, ensuring all entries in the Change Management System are complete, accurate, and appropriately authorised.
  • Engage with business and IT stakeholders to understand change drivers, assess impacts, risks, and feasibility, and secure buy-in for planned changes.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication throughout the change process to ensure all parties are kept informed of progress and outcomes.
  • Prepare and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring proper documentation of decisions, actions and follow-ups.
  • Oversee the deployment of changes across development, testing and live environments, spanning BAU activities and strategic initiatives.
  • Support Release Management processes and ensure effective alignment with Change Management controls.
  • Maintain and circulate the Forward Schedule of Change (FSoC), ensuring transparency and effective planning.
  • Participate in Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs), capturing lessons learned from failed or high-impact changes.
  • Produce regular KPI and compliance reporting to support governance and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver training and guidance to new joiners on change management procedures and tooling.
  • Support quarterly control assessments and compliance submissions (e.g. J-SOX).
  • Contribute to ongoing process refinement as part of the team's continual service improvement (CSI) efforts.
  • Coordinate service transition plans, ensuring all activities and controls are completed before go-live.
  • Promote a risk-aware, compliance-focused culture aligned with regulatory and operational best practice.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in IT change and service transition, ideally within a regulated environment such as insurance or financial services.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles with certification in ITIL v3 (Release, Control & Validation or Service Transition) or ITIL v4 equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project delivery frameworks.
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure components including servers, storage, networking (LAN/WAN), cloud platforms, and virtual desktops.

Skills & Behaviours:

  • High degree of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
  • Proactive and delivery-focused, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively and negotiate outcomes.
  • Professional approach with a sound understanding of operational risk and service continuity.
