Job Title:IT Asset Management Team Leader

Target Start Date:ASAP

Contract Type:Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available

Salary Range:£50,000 - £55,000

Location:Eastleigh, attendance required 2-3 days per week

IT Asset Management Team Leader:As part of IT Business Management (ITBM), this role will be responsible for leading a team managing the IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle for Ageas UK

The ITAM Team Leader’s responsibilities will include planning, acquiring, deploying, maintaining, and disposing of IT assets, ensuring optimal utilisation, cost-efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role also includes tracking the managing the financial aspects of ITAM, including invoicing and payments tracking, as well as supporting cost centre managers with quarterly and annual budget reviews linked to hardware assets.

Main Responsibilities as IT Asset Management Team Leader:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including their specifications, location, ownership, and financial information.
  • Track all ITAM related expenses and contribute to budget planning and forecasting. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of ITAM administrators, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively and appropriately to team members.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key metrics, such as asset utilisation, maintenance costs, and disposal activity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency with a view to improving the customer journey.

Skills and experience you need as IT Asset Management Team Leader:

  • Proven experience leading and managing a team, as you will be managing approx. 6 members of the team. Ability to motivate, influence and build a continuous improvement culture.
  • Demonstrable experience of a role within an IT asset management team or equivalent function.
  • Proven understanding of Software Asset Management together with an clear understanding of IT hardware technologies, including servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network equipment aligned to an understanding of how complex IT functions deploy these technologies.
  • Solid understanding of asset management best practices, including ITIL and ISO standards.
  • Experienced with ITAM or asset tracking software and databases.
