Job description

Job Title: IT Asset Management Team Leader

Target Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available

Salary Range: £50,000 - £55,000

Location: Eastleigh, attendance required 2-3 days per week

Role Overview

As part of IT Business Management (ITBM), this role will be responsible for leading a team managing the IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle for Ageas UK. The ITAM Team Leader’s responsibilities include planning, acquiring, deploying, maintaining, and disposing of IT assets, ensuring optimal utilization, cost-efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role also involves managing financial aspects of ITAM, including invoicing and payments, and supporting budget reviews linked to hardware assets.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including specifications, location, ownership, and financial data.
  • Track ITAM-related expenses and contribute to budget planning and forecasting. Identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of approximately 6 ITAM administrators, delegating tasks effectively.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to monitor key metrics such as asset utilization and disposal activity.
  • Identify process improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency, improving the customer journey.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of around 6 members, with the ability to motivate and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience within an IT asset management team or similar function.
  • Understanding of Software Asset Management and IT hardware technologies such as servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network equipment.
  • Knowledge of asset management best practices, including ITIL and ISO standards.
  • Experience with ITAM or asset tracking software and databases.
