Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a senior IT Asset Management leader to own Asset & Configuration Management and the ServiceNow platform, ensuring ITIL alignment and CMDB excellence across the organisation.

You will collaborate with Technology & Transformation, Procurement and Legal to drive licensing compliance, cost optimization, and vendor negotiations, while guiding up to four direct reports and partnering with delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM).
• Deep experience with software licensing models from major vendors.
• Strong knowledge of hardware asset lifecycles and CMDB ownership.
• Excellent stakeholder management and advisory capabilities at senior levels.
• Proven track record in transforming business processes with measurable impact.
• Strong planning and accountability with integrity under pressure.
• Effective written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Experience in ITAM roles with relevant industry qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Set, maintain and assure adherence to Asset Management policies and standards.
• Own CMDB accuracy to support ITIL processes with SIAM partner.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing obligations and optimise spend.
• Manage hardware assets lifecycle and related controls across the organisation.
• Provide tools for asset discovery and monitoring for licensing and management.
• Lead operation and development of the ServiceNow platform (ITSM/CMDB).
• Directly manage up to 4 direct reports and matrix-manage delivery teams.
• Engage with executives and governance groups to align strategy and influence change.
• Own operating budgets, vendor relationships and contracts to maximise value.
• Continuously evaluate risks and improve processes, frameworks and tools.
