Job summary

Centurion Computers Ltd, based in Hexham, Northumberland, invites applicants for an IT Apprentice (Level 3, Information Communications Technician). You’ll support, test and install software and hardware, and provide remote and on-site IT support across the UK.

The apprenticeship starts with hands-on learning under QA LIMITED. The 1 year 5 month programme emphasizes building IT skills, configuring systems, and improving Centurion’s IT processes, with progression to permanent roles for many QA

Responsibilities

• Supporting the setup, testing, and installation of in-house software and hardware.
• Providing remote and on-site technical support to clients.
• Diagnosing and resolving IT issues using remote tools and hands-on troubleshooting.
• Building, configuring, and maintaining PCs, laptops, and network equipment.
• Installing and maintaining cabling (Cat6/7 and fibre).
• Assisting with user accounts, software installation, and system configuration.

Are you passionate about technology and looking to build a hands-on career in IT? We’re looking for an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our growing team at Centurion, supporting clients across the UK with IT systems, software, and infrastructure.

The firm offers a wide range of managed IT solutions for homes and local businesses, including hardware supply and repair, custom software programming, networking and rural broadband installations like Starlink, VoIP packages, and Microsoft 365 setup

What You'll Do

• Supporting the setup, testing, and installation of in-house software and associated hardware
• Providing remote and on-site technical support to clients
• Diagnosing and resolving IT issues using remote tools and hands-on troubleshooting
• Building, configuring, and maintaining PCs, laptops, and network equipment
• Installing and maintaining cabling (Cat6/7 and fibre)
• Assisting with user accounts, software installation, and system configuration
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of Centurion’s IT systems and processes

Training Outcome

90% of QA apprentices secure permanent employment after completing: this is 20% higher than the national average.
