Job summary

Osborne Clarke in Bristol is seeking an IT Applications Platform Manager to lead the Applications Delivery team. You will own the lifecycle of business applications, develop roadmaps, and drive governance to maximise value and cost efficiency.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on collaboration across ITS, Business Services and international offices. You will oversee release processes, environment strategy, vendor relationships and budgeting while mentoring the platform team.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and supervisory experience essential.
• Excellent spoken, written and presentation skills across technical audiences.
• Experience in multi-site, team-oriented and collaborative environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL and data privacy practices.
• Understanding of the legal sector and its business applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop application roadmaps, covering the full lifecycle from implementation through to retirement and replacement.
• Ensure application plans align with business objectives, technology strategy and architectural standards.
• Work closely with Applications Delivery to schedule and deliver upgrades maintaining performance, stability and security.
• Drive standardisation, governance and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Own release and deployment governance, including versioning and runbooks.
• Manage suppliers, licensing and budgeting activities for the applications estate.
• Mentor and develop the platform management team and promote knowledge sharing.
