Job summary

Hope for Justice is seeking an IT Administrator to join the Global IT team, primarily at the Manchester head office. The role provides frontline IT support, hardware and software administration, Microsoft 365 management, and basic networking with a focus on security and user service.

Based in the UK, this hands-on position covers local and remote support for staff, asset management, and involvement in global IT initiatives. The salary is £30,000 per annum with hybrid working and benefits.

Position

We're looking for an IT Administrator to join our Global IT team and help ensure Hope for Justice staff have reliable, secure, and responsive technology support.

Working primarily from the Head Office in Manchester, this is a hands-on role supporting and administering hardware & software, Microsoft 365 & other cloud-hosted solutions, networks & cyber security, as well as day-to-day coaching, general IT needs, and contributing to global IT projects & initiatives. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organization to troubleshoot issues, support new starters, maintain IT assets, and help keep our systems secure and effective.

We're looking for someone with experience in IT support, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and basic networking is essential.

Requirements

1. IT Support & Service Delivery

  • Provide first line technical support to staff for hardware, software, network, and system related issues.
  • To provide in-person support locally and remote support to the global userbase
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Perform administration of the Microsoft 365 environment and other cloud-hosted systems as required.
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests, working with and escalating issues to Global IT when required.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and licenses.
  • Support the rollout of new IT tools, platforms, or policies as directed by Global IT.
  • Provide local context, feedback, and reporting to support global IT decision-making.

2. Systems & Network Management

  • Support the effective operation of local office networks, internet connectivity, and shared systems.
  • Conduct routine system checks, updates, and basic maintenance to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Ensure antivirus, security patches, and system updates are applied according to Global IT standards.

3. Information Security & Data Protection

  • Support compliance with Hope for Justice IT, data protection, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge across the global userbase about effective and secure use of technology.
  • Ensure staff follow best practices in password management, data storage, and systems access.
  • Promptly report and support the investigation of IT security incidents or data breaches.

4. User Training & Support

  • Provide basic IT induction and guidance to new staff.
  • Support staff to effectively use organizational tools (email, cloud storage, collaboration platforms, etc.).
  • Develop simple user guides or provide refresher support as needed.
  • Provide support during high level events to ensure smooth digital presentation and coordination.

6. Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Maintain records of support requests, resolutions, and asset assignments.
  • Prepare periodic IT status reports for local management and Global IT as required.
  • Support procurement processes for IT equipment in coordination with HR, Finance & Admin and Global IT.
  • Other duties as required – including territory-specific duties.
