Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd is seeking a proactive Systems Proving Engineer to join the Naval Based Air Defence Integration and Validation team. The role involves planning, executing trials, and coordinating data collection across laboratory, harbour, and sea trials, including foreign locations.

You will work with engineering and design teams to resolve issues, generate documentation, and deliver Trials Readiness Reviews. Travel within the UK and abroad is expected, with a comprehensive package including

Qualifications

• Proven experience in System Integration and design proving and trials.
• Experience in Naval integration and missile testing.
• Knowledge of interface design and system assessment.
• Experience with design verification and electrical/mechanical interfacing.
• Experience with electronic design/testing and network integration.

Responsibilities

• Work with systems engineering and design teams to plan, generate and execute trials.
• Liaise with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and to investigate and resolve design issues.
• Generate trials documentation.
• Prepare, deliver and follow up internal and external Trials Readiness Reviews.
• Conduct post trials data analysis and reporting.
• Conduct and/or support trials including laboratory based functional integration, system, ground based, harbour, sea, firing trials and trials in foreign countries.
• Lab management responsibilities (risk assessments, asset management, audits, lab safety).
• Maintain hardware and software configuration control.

MBDA are looking to secure the services of a number of Naval Based Air Defence Systems Proving Engineers.

Salary: Up to £46,500 Depending on experience.

Hybrid working pattern: 4-5 days a week onsite

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a proactive and committed Systems Proving Engineer to join the Integration and Systems Validation team in the Naval Based Air Defence domain. Due to contracts won and expected, this is an exciting time to join an expanding team.

We are looking for a broad-based Systems Proving engineer who will be able to:

• Work with the systems engineering team and design teams to plan, generate and execute trials.
• Liaise with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and to investigate and resolve design issues.
• Generate trials documentation
• Prepare, deliver and follow up internal and external Trials Readiness Reviews
• Conduct post trials data analysis and reporting
• Conduct and/or support trials including
  • Laboratory based functional integration trials / system trials
  • Ground based trials
  • Harbour trials and sea trials
  • Firing Trials
  • Trials in foreign countries

In addition, the candidate will assist with:

• Lab Management responsibilities (e.g. maintain risk assessments, asset management, host audits, maintain lab safety etc.)
• Maintaining hardware and software configuration control

The job will involve opportunities to travel within the UK and abroad.
