Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Project Leader for its Infrared (IR) Detectors team in Southampton, UK, combining office and home working. You will coordinate IPTs, manage multi-project delivery, and report progress to management and customers.

The role requires experience in military, security, government or industrial projects, with travel possible. You’ll work with Programme Managers and other project leaders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and quality, while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different Project Management techniques and when/how to use them.
• Demonstrated project delivery experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, work package management and cost control.
• A positive attitude, energetic team player, autonomous, keen to develop further.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, monitor and report on multiple projects.
• Close management of project schedules using MS Project and SAP/P6 tools.
• Monitor costs and define corrective actions for deviations.
• Coordinate IPT activities and establish communication mechanisms.
• Maintain Project Risk & Opportunity through lifecycle.
