Job summary

Regional Recruitment is recruiting an IPV Driver to join a leading traffic management company. This Oxford-based role is permanent and full-time, with salary DOE.

The driver will operate IPVs on motorways and high-speed roads across the UK, supporting NHSS-compliant traffic management and maintaining safety standards. You will perform daily vehicle checks, report defects, and assist with installation and removal of traffic management systems while adhering to health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category C / Class 2) is essential.
  • Valid Driver CPC is required.
  • Lantra NHSS 12 IPV Qualification is essential.
  • TTMBC (Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course) is essential.
  • Good understanding of motorway and high-speed road operations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate IPVs on motorways and high-speed roads.
  • Support temporary traffic management operations in NHSS alignment.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects immediately.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and procedures.
  • Assist TM crews with installation, maintenance and removal of systems.
  • Maintain accurate records, driver checks and daily paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients and team members.
  • Attend emergency call-outs and work nights and weekends as required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by management.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Ensure vehicle checks are completed before and after each shift.
  • Report incidents, near misses and defects promptly.
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicles to a high standard.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe working practices.

Are you an experienced IPV Driver?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an IPV Driver to join a leading Traffic Management company operating across the East Midlands and wider UK road network. This is a field-based role requiring a reliable and safety-conscious individual with experience working on motorways and high-speed road networks. You will be responsible for operating Impact Protection Vehicles (IPVs) in support of temporary traffic management operations while ensuring the safety of road users and colleagues at all times.

Qualifications
Essential:
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category C / Class 2)
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Lantra NHSS 12 IPV Qualification

Desirable:

Roles & Responsibilities
