Job summary

Intuitive Thinking Skills is recruiting an IPS Employment Specialist to help people in community treatment services access paid employment. You will manage a caseload of up to 25 people, providing tailored job development and ongoing support in collaboration with clinical teams.

You will build relationships with employers, training providers and referral partners to access opportunities, while ensuring clients are empowered to regain independent work status and sustain employment over the medium

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of working with people with drug and alcohol recovery support needs.
• Experience of working with people on a one-to-one basis, offering motivation and support.
• Empathy with those with drug and alcohol recovery support needs.
• Ability to build good relationships with referral partners across settings, employers and service users.
• Resilience and adaptability to changing client needs and workloads.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• A passion for making a difference in people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 25 people in treatment services and provide up to 9 months of support (plus 4 months in-work).
• Build relationships with local employers and training providers to secure opportunities.
• Deliver job development and job search activities tailored to each client.
• Provide ongoing support to employees and employers to sustain employment.
• Promote IPS services within clinical teams and raise expectations for paid work.
