Shaw Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to support people with mental health needs to find and sustain meaningful paid employment that matches their goals and strengths.
You will manage your own caseload, take a person-centred approach, guiding individuals through every stage of their employment journey, from career planning and job searching to interview preparation and ongoing workplace support, empowering greater independence and wellbeing through work.
“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.
For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco‑system of purpose‑led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
Make a real difference to people’s lives while building rewarding relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, service providers and local employers. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll support people with mental health support needs to find and sustain meaningful paid employment that matches their goals, strengths and aspirations.
Managing your own caseload, you’ll take a person‑centred approach, guiding individuals through every stage of their employment journey. From understanding career ambitions and creating tailored action plans, to job searching, interview preparation and ongoing workplace support, you’ll empower people to achieve greater independence, confidence and wellbeing through work.
You’ll also work closely with local employers, developing strong partnerships and identifying opportunities that create positive outcomes for both clients and businesses. Using the nationally recognised Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, you’ll receive specialist training and play a key role in delivering a high‑quality service that transforms lives.
This is a rewarding, performance‑driven role where every successful outcome has a lasting impact. If you’re passionate about helping people overcome barriers, thrive in a target‑focused environment and want to be part of a service that changes lives through employment, we’d love to hear from you.
