Job summary

Gymshark is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to build and maintain the iOS app used by a large share of its customers. You will transform refined product work into shippable features, tested and observable, while improving code quality and performance.

You will implement SwiftUI and legacy UIKit, practice clean architecture, MVVM, and test-first approaches. The role emphasizes production issue resolution, security awareness, and collaboration across teams in a hybrid Solihull setting.

Qualifications

• Several years writing Swift in a production app used by customers.
• SwiftUI work you have written is live in the App Store.
• Experience working in an established codebase alongside other engineers.
• You write unit tests for your own production code as a matter of routine.
• You have been responsible for resolving a production issue.
• Worked on consumer or e-commerce apps at scale.
• Experience of a UIKit to SwiftUI migration.
• Experience of feature flagging and experimentation in production.
• Kotlin, or another second platform, sufficient to collaborate with the Android team.

Responsibilities

• Writes production Swift confidently with SwiftUI and UIKit migration.
• Works in a modular codebase and respects module boundaries.
• Applies Clean Architecture and MVVM, explains separation of concerns.
• Writes unit tests as part of work and builds test doubles.
• Diagnoses production issues from crash reports and analytics to find root causes.
• Considers performance, accessibility and app size in tasks.
• Follows CI, review, distribution and App Store submission processes.
• Writes clear PRs and consistent branching strategies.
• Raises design specs when conflicting with Human Interface Guidelines.
