About The Role

Department: Distribution, Proposition and Marketing

Location: London - Hybrid working

This role will manage Quilter Cheviot’s investment product and proposition offerings, including developing, maintaining, and executing a propositional roadmap aligned with our commercial ambitions and client needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in Model Portfolio Service (MPS) and bespoke Discretionary investment offerings. The role will involve becoming the product owner for either Quilter Cheviot’s MPS or Discretionary investment product (DPS), depending on skillset.

The Investment Management Proposition Manager will possess strong technical investment product knowledge, with the ability to understand our current and future clients, monitor market trends, and develop investment propositions. Collaboration with front office, distribution, product, CIO/investments, compliance, legal, and other teams will be essential to ensure client outcomes and disciplined delivery to drive value.

Key areas include:

1. Client Value Proposition: Conduct target market analysis, validation, and review to understand client segments, needs, and trends. Collaborate with the Head of Proposition to:

• Identify ideal client investment propositions, define developments, and ensure disciplined delivery.
• Articulate our current and future investment proposition's competitiveness.

Investment Product Value Propositions: Define product, service, positioning, and pricing opportunities based on competitor analysis and market insights. Translate these into business cases and delivery plans that create commercial and client value.

Proposition Maintenance and Enhancement: Support the ongoing value, suitability, and longevity of our investment propositions. Work across internal groups and leverage group research capabilities.

Market Trends Monitoring: Report on trends to support proposition development and customer outcomes.

Governance Representation: Represent investment management proposition needs in relevant forums.

Regional Engagement: Collaborate with regional teams to inform plans and roadmaps, ensuring organizational alignment.

Training & Development: Identify training needs to promote best practices and adoption of investment propositions.

Content Ownership: Manage investment-related literature, competitor reviews, and communication strategies, collaborating with Proposition and Marketing teams.

Relationship Management: Maintain technical and strategic relationships across the Quilter group for knowledge sharing.

Consumer Duty

This role will impact customer outcomes by ensuring products and propositions are designed and maintained to meet target market needs and deliver fair value.

About You

• Deep technical knowledge of investment management products, services, pricing, and value.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple regions.
• Confidence in delivering presentations, influencing, and change management.
• Experience in investment management propositions, supporting MPS, Discretionary, and in-house fund products.
• Exposure to Private Markets, Private Credit, and Structured Products from a proposition perspective is beneficial.
• Understanding management information (MI) and ability to identify trends and solutions.
• Proven track record in product enhancements and development.
• Ability to learn new business areas, industry trends, and best practices independently.
• Experience influencing decision-makers; managing teams is a plus.
• Finance or investment management qualifications are preferred but not essential if technical skills are demonstrated.
