Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking an Investment Business Development Consultant to grow the use of AJ Bell Investments with adviser firms. You will build relationships, identify opportunities and demonstrate how MPS and multi-asset solutions meet adviser needs, while supporting customer outcomes at the heart of Feel Good Investing.

You will work with investment and platform sales teams, manage a portfolio of adviser relationships, and maintain accurate CRM records to drive investment flow and regional targets

Qualifications

• Experience in an adviser-facing investment or sales role.
• Understanding of the UK financial adviser, investment and platform market.
• Knowledge of MPS and multi-asset funds with clear explanations of approach, risk and charges.
• Strong consultative sales skills to identify adviser needs and opportunities.
• Excellent communication across phone, video and written channels.
• Proactive in generating leads and progressing opportunities to next steps.
• Strong organisation with accurate CRM records and pipeline management.
• Investment or financial planning qualification would be useful or willingness to pursue one.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop relationships with adviser firms and understand their needs.
• Generate and qualify new investment opportunities through outreach and marketing activity.
• Explain MPS and multi-asset solutions clearly using a consultative approach.
• Own and progress a portfolio of adviser relationships and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Investment Business Development Managers on larger opportunities.
• Support adviser research and due diligence with relevant information.
• Develop relationships by expanding adoption and spotting potential risks early.
• Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline information and share insights with the team.
