Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking an Investment Business Development Consultant to grow AJ Bell Investments with adviser firms across the UK. You’ll build relationships, identify opportunities and explain MPS and multi-asset solutions to support adviser clients.

Working with our investment and platform sales teams, you’ll manage a portfolio of opportunities, drive pipeline accuracy in the CRM and help advisers understand charges and risk, contributing to sustainable investment flows and positive customer

Qualifications

• Experience in an adviser-facing investment, business development or sales role within financial services.
• Good understanding of the UK financial adviser, investment and platform market.
• Knowledge of investment solutions such as MPS and multi-asset funds, with ability to explain approach, risk and charges.
• Strong consultative sales skills and ability to identify opportunities and next steps.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop relationships with adviser firms and understand client needs.
• Generate and qualify new investment opportunities and progress them through to next steps.
• Explain MPS and multi-asset solutions clearly using a consultative approach.
• Own and progress a portfolio of adviser relationships and sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Investment Business Development Managers on larger opportunities.
• Support adviser research and due diligence with information on investment approach, risk and charges.
• Maintain CRM data and prioritise opportunities with competitor insights.
