Our client, European mid-market private equity firm, is looking for an Investment Associate in London, UK.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities in the consumer sector.
- Support the deal origination process through networking, industry outreach, and proactive sourcing efforts.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential investment targets by conducting financial analysis, building complex financial models, and performing due diligence.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal discussions and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the investment team in negotiating and structuring investment transactions, including drafting term sheets and supporting in deal negotiations.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute value creation strategies, including operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and growth initiatives.
- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies through regular financial analysis, operational reviews, and market assessments.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments relevant to the consumer sector and investment strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, engineering, law, or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, transaction services, or related field.
- Strong financial analysis (and modeling) skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and financial statements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, management teams, and external stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
